About me

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, some years ago…, yes, a little more years than those I would like to confess , but not so many as to feel tired of enjoying life. There is still plenty of life in my body, many stories to tell and books to read.

I did my primary and secondary studies in my hometown. After I finished high school I went to music school where I learned the wonderful language of musical notes. I lightly stroked the piano keys and immersed myself in learning how to play flute; as musicians say, that’s my instrument… and I love it. But life wanted to take me along other paths, and I accepted the challenge.

My interest in writing began when I learned to read. I think that reading and writing are the front and back of the same hand, they cannot be separated from each other. I learned to read before starting school and since I was able to outline my first letters on paper, no one can separate me from that. That is how this adventure of words started for me.

I wrote my first full story at the age of nine, it was a short fiction story entitled “The talkative Guitar and the Little Carpenter”. It was written in a school notebook, with graphite pencil. That took me three weeks, twenty-one days to write ten pages of that story, can you imagine that? It was a story for children, created to participate in a school contest. The effort had its fruits since I got the first place at that contest.

During my teens I fell in love with the romantic literature and under this influence I wrote my first novel entitled “A Cry in the Dark, the life of Eva Corsica”. It was a story of one hundred and fifty pages, and later it was adapted as a soap in a local television channel. That was great, even though my name did not appear in the credits.

In the early 80s I wrote some scripts for theater, a journal of poetry and my first adventure book entitled: “Gormat the Pauper”.

At the end of the 90s, I moved to Los Angeles, CA.; where I began studies in the area of computer science. In 2004 I was certified as a developer and database administrator. But my artist spirit was stronger than my technological ambitions, so I ended up working in graphic design. No one can tell me that it wasn’t a smart way to combine art and technology, my two passions! Isn’t it?

I am currently fully dedicated to write “Chronicles of Forgotten Worlds” a series of stories where adventure, magic, romance and dreams come together. The first book in the series is entitled “The Mystical Kingdom”. This book was published on December 2013. It was originally published in Spanish, but now we also have the English version available at Amazon. I hope it will be translated into other languages very soon.
Besides reading and writing, I enjoy cooking, music, photography, cinema, outdoors walk and good conversations.
